Life in Playa del Carmen is a happy medium between the bustle of glittering Cancun and the isolation of cities further south. Playa del Carmen is located just one hour south of Cancun, an easy drive from Cancun's busy international airport, modern shopping malls, and upscale conveniences
Playa del Carmen is a much more manageable town than Cancun. It is easy to meet people and you can get around without a car. Although small, Playa del Carmen offers all the necessities of life including medical care, spa and gym, churches, several large supermarkets, furniture stores, and the like. Plus because Playa del Carmen is a growing tourist destination, first class international restaurants and a wide range of activities are available every day of the week.
Fishing, golf, pharmacies, and a large supermarket are only minutes away from Natz Ti Ha Condominiums, and the new public athletic facility is three blocks away with track, basketball courts and tennis courts. Day trips can be made to Mayan ruins at Coba or Tulum, eco parks such as Xcaret, or deserted beaches to the south. The ferry to Cozumel only takes an hour from Playa del Carmen, easily reached for a day of diving or shopping.
Playa del Carmen's 5th Avenue has a European feel with a variety of sidewalk cafes, gourmet restaurants and eclectic boutiques. Playa del Carmen offers lots of activity day and night, and great people watching.
